Last year your generous Giving Tuesday donations helped us to provide care for our therapy horses – Silver, Bear, Charlie, Albert and Cody. They are the rockstars of our program and continued to serve our students in what was a very trying year! We have given over 500 lessons since June 1st, all with pandemic safety protocols in place! Thank you for your generosity!
Our program has provided over 3,500 individualized lessons, all funded entirely by donations. We are a no cost, donation only facility. All of our services are provided free of charge to our students and their families.
Our goal this year is to expand and serve more students. One of our therapy horses, Bear, is ready to step up and provide lessons for our students. As many of you know, we have a lengthy waitlist of people ready to start therapy with us. Bear and Silver, our main lesson horse, use the same cart. In order to serve more students in 2021, we need to add a new cart to our program that will fit Bear.
Our carts have to meet very specific, custom specifications for our program. This year we have a big ask – $2,000 for a new custom cart and cover for our program that will fit Bear.
With a new cart that will fit Bear, we will be able to drive Silver and Bear at the same time. This will allow us to serve more people in 2021 and beyond! If we are able to raise any additional funds over our goal, they will go directly to care for our five therapy horses (hay, shoeing, veterinary care, etc).
