Last year your generous Giving Tuesday donations helped us add a new therapy horse to our program! This allowed us to serve more people and helped ease the burden on our aging rockstar, Silver. “Pokie” had a fantastic year hanging out with our students!
Our program has provided over 4,500 individualized lessons, all funded entirely by donations. We are a no charge, donation only facility. All of our services are provided free of charge to our students and their families.
Needs continue to arise in our program as we seek to serve more and more students. Over the last several years we’ve seen a consistent need for accessible trauma focused therapy for our students – particularly among our foster/adoptive families. We plan to add this service to our program as soon as possible. Therapy will be provided by a licensed professional trained in trauma focused therapy and equine assisted therapy. In order to make that dream a reality we need a structure where students can meet with a therapist privately. The first step toward adding this arm to our program is to get a building in place.
This year we have a large ask – $4,000 to fund initial payment for a therapy building for our program. The sooner we reach this goal the sooner we can start providing this much needed service to our students.
If we are able to raise any additional funds over our goal, they will go toward other construction costs needed to make the building operational!
