2018 Program Update

Our 2018 season starts in April. This will be the fourth season we have provided one-on-one carriage driving and horsemanship lessons for special needs children and adults. We provide sensory activities, carriage driving lessons with miniature horses, horsemanship skills, social enrichment through games and relationships, driving lessons in our wheelchair accessible carriage and learning activities. To date we have provided over 1,700 one-on-one lessons – all free of charge – to our students. We have seen students take remarkable leaps in sensory processing, fine motor skills, sequencing, overall healing from trauma, confidence and self-esteem. None of this would be possible without our horses – they are uniquely adept therapeutic partners. We also could not provide these services without our volunteers and donors. As the calendar turns to 2018, we look forward to further developing our sensory trail. If you are interested in learning more about us, don’t hesitate to contact us here or at hoof.harness@icloud.com! We are looking forward to another season!
